The Forgiven Life Mission

Love God, Love One Another,
and Share this Love to the World

Watch About Our Forgiven Mission

The mission of Forgiven Life Community Church is clearly spelled out by Jesus.  We are to “make disciples” (Matthew 28:19-20).  But what is a disciple of Jesus?  What does a disciple look like? A disciple of Jesus is defined as “one who loves God, loves one another, and shares this love to the world.”  It is that simple

On the night in which Jesus was betrayed, he commanded his followers to do three things.

First, they are to “abide” or “remain” in His love (John 15:1-11).  Eight times Jesus exhorted the disciples to remain in his love for a part from remaining in this love, they would not be able to bear any fruit that springs from love (John 15:5).  A disciple is one who first and foremost loves Jesus and loves the Father.

Second, Jesus commanded his followers to love one another (John 15:12-17).  This love is not in words only, but in good deeds. It is helping those who are hurting.  It is feeding those who are hungry. It is clothing those who are naked. It is visiting those who are lonely.  The love that we have for one another is the real mark of a follower of Jesus (John 13:35).

Third, Jesus commanded his followers to show this love that we have for Him and for one another to the world (John 15:18-27).  We are to testify or bear witness to the love of Jesus (John 15:27).

Forgiven Life Church does not focus so much on being a large church as she focuses on being a loving church … that is, loving God, loving one another, and sharing this love to the world.

If you wish to know more about the love of God and of Jesus, and if you wish to be able to express that love to those around you in practical ways, come and visit us at Forgiven Life Community Church.
